Strictly Came Dancing

Occasionally a good programme is screened and runs for a few series until becoming a victim to the harsh ratings war. Striclty Come Dancing was a sure fire hit that was instantly loved by the public and equally by the creators for they knew that they could now retire on the back of its success. Its innovative and original idea drew its audience and kept them with its glitz and glamour, not to mention its household named celebrities and pantomimic judges.

Surviving huge ratings battles with its highly popular competitor ITV's "The X Factor", Strictly Come Dancings' future was far from bleak. Spanning several spinoffs including BBC1s Stricly Dance Fever, which uses non-celebrities the formula carried on working and bringing success to the BBC.

All that needed to happen now was the replacement of one frail host who has been clinging on to stardom with his dentures, but there is always next year.
